CLEAR SPOT CLASSIC is our new jewel in the crown of the BRIGHT FUN RUN.
After 13 years of the Bright Fun run and many different variations of the long course we are super excited to bring to the public a truly epic course this year.
The newly named Clear Spot Classic proudly sponsored by HVP has something for everyone. For the trail runner stepping it up it promises to give you that taste of true Ultra trail running without taking from your soul. For the season pro it promises to deliver a fast tough course where you can push your skills to the limit.
The course itself has a little bit of everything. Steep climbs, amazing views, fast flowing single trail, epic descending with the highlight being the Clear spot lookout as our highest point of the event show casing our beautiful valley that we call home.

This course is tough, scenic, and seriously rewarding--register now and get ready for an unforgettable 18km trail adventure!
Race Start time - 7.00 am
Cut off - Two on course check points: 6km mark @ 9am and 11km mark @10am. Our marshals will redirect you onto he 9km trail if you are unable to keep pace.
Prizes - Open Male/Female, Masters (50 yrs+) Male/Female
Age restrictions: under 18's must be accompanied by an adult
Entry: $70
Presentation to be held before 3km race
Prize information: cash prize for overall male/female winners and specialty keepsake in each category for 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Categories: Female 18-49, Female 50+, Male 18-49, Male 50+.
The course map shown is subject to change. Course shown is 18km. You can expect approx. 800m elevation gain on this trail. Please note the courses in this event are not suitable for any form of pram or stroller.
Age Requirements
Our race rules have been tailored around recommendations set out in The FIT Model by Athletics Australia. We understand that there are variations in the physical and mental development of children and adolescents and that there will be younger runners that are fit and able to run the longer distances but want to ensure that our race rules provide an extra level of safety and caution for the younger runners should they wish to participate. This is why we have said certain ages for certain race lengths will need to run with an adult. How you manage this on the course is your discretion and we trust that adults running with young runners know their ability and can make the best choices to suit their own requirements on the day. The course will be well marked and marshalled however we still caution all runners to be aware on how to manage themselves should they encounter a snake, have a fall, or find themselves off course.
