Bright P-12 College Fun RunThe Bright Fun Run has been bringing our community together since 2011 and has become a much-loved event on the local calendar. More than just a race, it’s a fun, community-focused fundraiser for Bright P-12 College, set against the spectacular backdrop of Bright in North East Victoria.
Whether you're a seasoned runner chasing a challenge or simply looking for a great day out with family and friends, there’s something for everyone. Kids and beginners can enjoy the shorter distance, while those looking for more of a challenge can take on the longer courses through the beautiful trails around Bright. No matter your pace, it’s all about getting active, enjoying the outdoors and supporting a great cause. Our community continues to show incredible support for the event. In 2025 we raised over $25,000 for Bright P-12 College, and in 2026 we’re raising funds specifically to deliver wellbeing and mental health programs for students across the school. 2026 raised amounts are still being tallied - update coming soon! |
2026 Wrap Up!
Hello Fun Runners!
Bright absolutely delivered for the 2026 Bright Fun Run, turning on a postcard perfect autumn morning and bringing the energy from start to finish. With 460 registered participants, the trails were buzzing with runners, walkers and cheer squads soaking up those golden leaves and bluebird skies. Add DJ Beauy on the decks and it was a whole lot of high country magic.
Across all distances, the results were stacked with impressive performances and plenty of local legends flying the flag. The day kicked off with the 18km HVP Clear Spot Classic, a proper test of grit that had legs burning, spirits high and plenty of friendly competition. James Barnett took the overall win alongside Gemma De Campo. The 9km Beatson Builders Trail Race followed, fast and fun, with that final burning hill climb catching a few by surprise. Ciaran Mawley and Jade Hazeldene rose to the challenge, while Harvey Dornom and Matilda Xerri smashed out the always popular 3km Wandiring Olives run, teeming with families, first timers and future trail legends all smiling their way to the finish. A special shoutout to HVP, who showed up in force across multiple races, you could not miss the sea of green out there.
Off the course, the Foresight Village was humming. Sixpence Coffee kept everyone caffeinated, the Bright P-12 crew delivered a cracking barbecue and bake sale, and the kids were kept busy with games, tattoos and plenty of fun.
